Turnkey Maintenance from Diversified |
Diversified Property Services is a subsidiary of Ferland
Corporation that prepares apartments for new residents by painting,
cleaning, new floor covering, whether it be carpet, tile or wood.
Diversified also does construction in apartments by installing new
kitchen cabinets, replacing or fixing walls and replacement of windows
if necessary. Also Diversified is used for any or all of its services
to the private homeowner.

A.Austin Ferland, RAM, representing the third generation of Ferlands, extended his life long commitment to the family business in 2003, by purchasing his brother Richard’s interest to become sole owner of the company. Austin is now Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation.
As Ferland’s Chief Executive Officer, he has guided the company through decades of growth and change and has repositioned the firm as a prominent property management company and developer of condominiums and light technical, industrial, residential and commercial projects. He has also acquired several major real estate investment properties.
Austin joined Ferland shortly after graduating from Providence College in 1960. Since then, he has worked in and managed every segment of the business, and holds the professional designation of Senior Resident Apartment Manager.
Austin has been involved in numerous professional, business and civic organizations. In addition to being a Director of the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, he is Past President of the Rhode Island Builders Association. Currently, he sits as a Director of the National Association of Home Builders, and is Chairman of the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation.

Bill is responsible for all aspects of the day to day administration of the
Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates, as well as strategic planning for its future.
Joining the Ferland Corporation in 1984, with a strong background in accounting and management, Bill initially served as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Treasurer. He was named COO in 2002, and the additional position of President in 2003. His expertise in financial matters has helped to greatly enhance the Company's portfolio of properties owned. Bill's dedication and foresight has been
instrumental in focusing the Corporation's attention on its core business; Property Management, as well as identifying and assessing new acquisitions for the portfolio of investment real estate.
Bill's support has been vital in the recent formation of the Rhode
Island Apartment Association, an affiliate of the National Apartment Association, and presently serves as its Treasurer.

Ed is responsible for directing the operations of Ferland Property Management, The Corporation’s property management subsidiary.
He is also in charged with overseeing Diversified Property Services, Ferland’s property services company.
Joining Ferland in 1977, Ed has been involved in all aspects of property management. As Senior Vice President with responsibility to direct Ferland Property Management, Ed is actively involved in all areas of the business including; Community Outreach, Fair Housing, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Marketing new communities as well as maintaining existing occupancies, Personnel, Property Maintenance, Resident Relations, Social Services and Vendor Relations. He is also responsible for developing and monitoring goals and objectives for Ferland Property Management.
Ed also shares his professional expertise with the Community and Professional Organizations. He currently is a Commissioner of the Cumberland Housing Authority, Vice President of the newly founded Rhode Island Apartment Association, and sits on the National Leased Housing Board. Ed is a Past President of the RI Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

In her position of Vice President/ Finance, she administers and directs accounting activities for Ferland’s corporate offices and its subsidiaries.
Lori graduated from Bryant College with a BS degree in Business Administration. She joined Ferland Corporation in 1983 and has held various management positions with the company including accounting operations supervisor, general accounting manager and corporate controller.
